Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations
Jonah brings a wealth of public policy knowledge and expertise to Teaching Strategies, where he leads the company’s federal and state policy and advocacy agenda and supports state-level partnerships.
Before joining the company in 2009, Jonah worked as an aide to United States Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, where he served in multiple roles that helped lay the foundation for his work at Teaching Strategies. Jonah began his career teaching middle school social studies in Baltimore through Teach For America. Jonah serves on multiple boards of organizations that are committed to advancing policy and practice for the early childhood field, including the Executive Committee of the Early Care and Education Consortium.
He holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
