Tia oversees the Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Creative Services teams at Teaching Strategies, ensuring alignment of each department's functions to the company mission, vision, and "voice" and maintaining Teaching Strategies' reputation as a thought and market leader in the field of early childhood education.
She leads her team in developing innovative marketing and communications strategies that build and support the Teaching Strategies brand, leading to increased awareness, relevance and respect in the market, and with the early childhood educators that Teaching Strategies serves.
Since joining Teaching Strategies in 2009 as a writer in the Marketing department, Tia has held roles as the Director of Communications, the Chief Content Officer, and the Chief of Staff, during which time she was responsible for driving communication, collaboration, and alignment to facilitate the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals and objectives. Tia continues to provide leadership and strategic direction for the company’s internal and external communications.
Before joining Teaching Strategies, Tia worked at Scholastic as the Web Editor for Early Childhood Today, a trade publication that provides content and resources to support educators in the field of early childhood education. She has extensive experience writing curriculum and outreach resources for mission-driven companies like Girl Scouts of the USA and WGBH, Boston’s public television station. Tia holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in Child Development from Tufts University.
