Our partnership with Highlights for Children, Inc., publisher of the most-read children’s magazines in North America, allows us the opportunity to share two well-loved publications—Highlights Hello™ and Highlights High Five Bilingüe™—with early childhood programs serving infants to kindergarten-age children.

Through our partnership, both Highlights Hello and Highlights High Five Bilingüe are available to educators and families through curriculum solutions for infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds; preschoolers; and coming soon, for kindergartners.

Collections of Highlights Hello are offered in English and in Spanish as part of The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos and include both classroom and family editions. The classroom editions are designed for teachers and children to read together, while the family editions can be sent home with family members to help support the children’s early
learning experiences.

In The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool and The Creative Curriculum® for Kindergarten, we offer a set of Highlights High Five Bilingüe magazines, which feature stories, poems, puzzles, and activities in English and in Spanish to support children who are learning one or both languages. Children whose first language is Spanish can explore the content in Spanish at home with their families, so they’re familiar with the content before they explore it in English in the classroom.

Hatch Early Learning


Our partnership with Hatch Early Learning, the provider of research-based, classroom technology solutions, is designed to to make it easier for educators to capture information about children’s learning through a child’s independent play. For years, early childhood teachers have used observational assessment of students’ activities, including play, to generate unique insights into children’s development over time, evaluate progress, and plan individualized, intentional learning experiences. This new partnership utilizes technology in the classroom to provide teachers with the ability to capture evidence of a child’s knowledge and skills seamlessly, and without the use of more formal assessments. Children have the opportunity to develop core literacy and math skills that are essential for success in kindergarten, with the results shared from iStartSmart® directly to the GOLD® assessment system through this new partnership, called HatchSync powered by GOLD®.

In addition, Hatch Early Learning and Teaching Strategies have created a specially-designed collection of educational materials that help support the implementation of The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool and The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos. These preselected arrays of rich, interactive materials are organized into individual kits that focus on supporting one specific area of development or type of experience. This allows teachers to choose which kits would best enhance their classroom experiences based on their own individual needs.
