Ashley has been in the field of education for over 20 years. She dove into this field right after graduating from high school in a role as an afterschool counselor. Shortly after this, Ashley transitioned into the role of educator for a classroom of two-year-old early learners. In this role, she played the part of several positions in an early learning program, from education to janitor and even Central Director, and at times all at once. During her time in a VPK classroom in Florida, she was introduced to GOLD, and she has been hooked ever since.

While working in a VPK classroom, she was introduced to some of the new digital components of GOLD. This was a game changer! With firsthand knowledge of the impact we were making in education, she noticed an open Partner Success position and decided to go for it. Now, Ashley supports programs within Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida, as well as private child care programs throughout the country.

Recently, we asked Ashley to share her thoughts on work and life at Teaching Strategies.

Share with us a memorable moment during your time in the classroom and how that has motivated your work here at TS.

To pick one memorable moment is hard. As educators, we touch so many lives; they all seem so memorable. I think the most memorable moment is now, being able to watch the children I have impacted in my career, all grown up, attending college and living a successful life. It makes it all worth it. I truly feel that how children are impacted in the first five years of life sets a precedent for what their future may hold. I work every day to be sure that the programs utilizing our resources have the support they need to set that precedent with the children and families in their classes.

What are you excited to contribute to as you continue to grow with Teaching Strategies?

I am excited to continue to empower educators by providing personalized support, insights, and resources that help them create engaging and effective learning environments. I also look forward to working with our teams to enhance the connected learning ecosystem that will give administrators, teachers, children, and families the resources they need to thrive in the early learning environment.

How does your experience give you a unique perspective while working on Teaching Strategies products?

With experience across all positions within an educational program, I feel I have the compassion to understand and support program admins with all the responsibilities they need to juggle. My goal is to make Teaching Strategies a joyful part of their day, not just another thing they have to do on the list.
