We have exciting news — and an exclusive opportunity we think you’ll want to be part of.

Teaching Strategies is updating the Objectives for Development and Learning (ODL), the research-based framework at the heart of GOLD. These revisions reflect the latest research, sharpen clarity and usability, and strengthen alignment with state early learning standards. In short: this is a meaningful evolution of a framework educators rely on every day.

Before these updates are finalized, we want to hear from educators like you. This summer (June–August 2026), we’re conducting a virtual field test to gather feedback on the revised framework — and we’re looking for early childhood educators (birth–grade 3) to participate. As a participant, you will:

  • Get an exclusive early look at the proposed ODL updates
  • Directly influence final revisions through your feedback
  • Receive a financial incentive for your time

We are especially seeking educators who work with children ages 0–5 and currently use GOLD, as well as K–3rd grade classroom teachers regardless of GOLD experience.

To help you get started, we’ll host virtual information sessions where you can learn about the updates, participation requirements, and incentives — with plenty of time for questions.

Your insights matter. This is your chance to help shape a framework that supports educators and children across the country.

Information sessions will be held:
