Al’s Pals + Noni: Comprehensive Social-Emotional Support for Every Child and Teacher
Prior to the pandemic, more than 60%* of children had experienced at least one traumatic event by the age of 16. Stress from the pandemic—combined with school and childcare closures—has magnified concerns for children who have experienced trauma, especially our most vulnerable children.
Support teachers and young children when they need it the most with two research-based tools that were designed to meet the unique social–emotional needs of early childhood: Al’s Pals and Noni.
Al’s Pals provides the foundation of resiliency and protective factors that every child needs and deserves with a nationally recognized, evidence-based emotional learning curriculum designed for the specific needs of preschool children. Noni, our new first-of-its-kind app, supports preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school teachers working with children who have been impacted by trauma and provides resources to help teachers prioritize their own self-care and mental wellness.
Together, these tools create trauma-sensitive, relationship-focused learning environments to mitigate the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on young children, while equipping them with the skills to prepare for life’s challenges.
