This highly interactive session helps teachers implement The Creative Curriculum® for Kindergarten in their classrooms. Teachers will first become familiar with our 38 objectives for development and learning, they will explore the benefits of using a Teaching Guide and implementing a meaningful study, and they will learn to implement the three main parts of a study and understand how to integrate content into daily events through intentional teaching experiences.

Teachers will expand their knowledge of the nature and benefits of implementing studies to promote children’s interest and learning. Topics include choosing an appropriate study topic, planning, documenting children’s learning, and involving families.

Teachers learn how to use The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool to provide a high-quality program that is inclusive of all children.

1-Day Supporting Dual-Language Learners (The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, Teachers)

Teachers can use The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool to implement best practices for dual-language learners, build effective partnerships with families, and support both children’s acquisition of English and their first language development.

The Creative Curriculum® Cloud: Elevating Partnerships and Planning (Teachers)

This one-day session will support teachers and administrators to craft their back-to-school strategy using a variety of instructional delivery methods, the dynamic planning tools of The Creative Curriculum® Cloud, and two way communication. Participants will consider the increased need for supporting the social–emotional development of children starting school this year. Participants will identify ways to navigate a return to school that will be different for teachers, children, and families, including strategies for implementing a distance learning approach and sharing content that is specifically created for families.

The Creative Curriculum® Cloud and Gold® to Support Planning and Family Partnerships (Teachers)

This one-day session will support teachers and administrators to craft their back-to-school strategy using a variety of instructional delivery methods, the dynamic planning tools of The Creative Curriculum® Cloud, and two-way communication. Creating a Caring, Collaborative Community in the Time of COVID-19 (Teachers and Administrators)

This one-day session will support teachers and administrators to craft their back-to-school strategy using a variety of instructional delivery methods. Participants will consider the increased need for supporting the social–emotional development of children starting school this year. Participants will identify ways to navigate a return to school that will be different for teachers, children, and families, including strategies for implementing a distance-learning approach and partnering with families. Finally, participants will examine how to modify the focus questions from The First Six Week Teaching Guide to meet the needs of children, families, and teachers during distance learning.

Teachers learn to be purposeful as they create an environment and interact with children in the interest areas and outdoors. In addition to planning the physical spaces, teachers learn strategies for interacting with children in ways that support their development and learning related to the curricular objectives while encouraging children’s explorations and creativity.

1-Day Supporting Early Mathematical Learning in The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool (Teachers)

Using Volume 4: Mathematics as a guide, teachers become familiar with the research related to how preschool children learn mathematical concepts and process skills, examine the components of mathematics that form the basis of instruction, and explore ways to incorporate developmentally appropriate mathematics activities in meaningful ways throughout the day.

1-Day Supporting Language and Literacy in The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool (Teachers)

Using Volume 5: Literacy as a guide, teachers learn how to be intentional as they teach important language and literacy skills and incorporate language rich, meaningful experiences into everyday classroom practices.

1-Day Supporting Social–Emotional Development and Learning with The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool (Teachers)

Teachers explore their role in promoting the healthy social–emotional development of preschool children. Topics include the importance of planning, appropriate expectations for children’s behavior at different ages, using positive guidance strategies, and the impact of the environment on children’s social–emotional development.

1-Day Helping Teachers Implement the Curriculum Effectively (The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, Administrators)

Administrators examine their roles and responsibilities related to supporting teachers’ optimal
implementation of (The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool. After exploring the curriculum in depth, administrators use new knowledge and shared experiences to develop a robust training and support plan for teachers at different levels of experience and develop strategies for providing positive, ongoing classroom support.

2-Day Coaching Teachers to Fidelity of Implementation (The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, Administrators)

Designed for individuals who provide direct classroom support to teachers, this session introduces Coaching to Fidelity and The Fidelity Tool for Administrators, tools that enable programs to measure teachers’ fidelity of implementation and then use that information to help teachers at all levels improve their practice. Participants will explore the tools themselves along with approaches to observing teachers and building relationships, tips for using the fidelity resources effectively, and strategies for supporting teachers in their implementation of

This hands-on session guides teachers and caregivers through every component of The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos. Participants first explore the three curriculum volumes, which discuss in detail the latest theory and research, how to promote children’s progress and support active, individualized learning during routines and experiences, and how to set up a successful environment. Participants then have an opportunity to interact with the new Daily Resources (Intentional Teaching Cards™, Mighty Minutes®, Book Conversation Cards™, and Highlights Hello™) and practice using them together to plan and implement meaningful routines and intentional experiences for all the children in their care. The Creative Curriculum® for Family Child Care is a comprehensive, research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that addresses the specific needs of the family child care community. Fully aligned with the National Association for Family Child Care’s Accreditation standards, this curriculum is unique in that it addresses how to include all children from birth through school-age in the program, including the provider’s own children and sets of siblings.
