About this Session

The foundation for reading success begins long before fourth grade testing. But, according to The Nation’s Report Card by the National Assessment of Education Progress in 2022, only 1 in 3 fourth graders are testing as proficient in reading. What steps can you, as education leaders, take to help lay the foundation for reading proficiency in the early years?

In this 1-hour webinar, we will address important concerns related to reading proficiency and school readiness and identify ways to set up all children for success in kindergarten and beyond. Together, we will explore:

  • how to choose an effective, research-based curriculum for 4-year-olds;
  • what high-quality literacy instruction looks like in a pre-K classroom; and
  • how you can lead teachers in promoting language and early literacy learning that is grounded in the science of reading.

Join us to discover how to give all children in your pre-K programs access to high-quality language and literacy experiences.
