During this 1-day session for teachers and caregivers, participants will discover the power of responsive planning and explore strategies for incorporating responsive caregiving and teaching into everyday classroom practice. Participants will discuss the importance of family partnerships and learn how gather important information from families that can inform responsive teaching practices. To strengthen the planning process, participants will examine how high-quality documentation can enhance responsive planning and promote young children’s growth and development. Participants will discover practical strategies for building a positive relationship with each child and strategies for promoting positive relationships between and among children. In addition, caregivers will explore and practice implementing a variety of strategies for fostering strong family partnerships.
