This 6-hour session provides a hands-on introduction to The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, including how to get organized for the first few days of school, build a classroom community, and prepare for the first study. Interactive activities demonstrate how to use the curricular resources, prepare the learning environment, and implement the first two Teaching Guides. Teachers will be introduced to the basics of SmartTeach®, including how to access The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool online resources and load them into their weekly plans. During this interactive training, participants will plan to implement The First Six Weeks: Building Your Classroom Community Teaching Guide and practice planning for their first study, Blocks. Participants will work with the facilitator to complete many items on the Getting Started Checklist and leave with a clear action plan for beginning implementation.
