If so, Inspiring Interactions: Exploring the Teacher’s Role in Interest Areas, is for you! During this 6-hour advanced session for users of The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, participants will discover techniques for facilitating important content learning, including literacy and mathematics learning, in interest areas. Participants will be introduced to a collection of helpful teaching strategies that nurture creativity, encourage problem-solving, and engage children in critical thinking. Through discussions and activities, teachers will examine their role in supporting, and extending, high quality play experiences during Choice Time. Additionally, teachers will practice aligning Objectives for Development and Learning, along with associated support strategies, to child-led play scenarios. Participants will leave the session equipped with the tools and skills needed to make Choice Time one of the most important and impactful times of the instructional day. During the session, program directors will also learn how to easily manage and track their enrollment pipeline, identify potential gaps in each classroom, and determine appropriate actions with easy-to-use enrollment forecasting tools.

Exploring OSEP Features and Reports Within GOLD®

Tailored to meet the needs of administrators and instructional leaders, this 3-hour advanced GOLD® session introduces participants to the OSEP features and reports available within MyTeachingStrategies®. Participants will review the purposes of GOLD® and the role it plays in informing instruction before diving into an overview of OSEP. Additionally, administrators will learn how the objectives for development and learning connect to the three OSEP outcomes. Participants will be guided through the process of setting up and using the OSEP reporting tools powered by GOLD® and will learn how to generate and analyze OSEP reports, including the OSEP Status Report and the OSEP Federally Mandated Year-End Report. Note: This advanced administrator-focused session is intended for subscribers of both OSEP reporting features and GOLD®.
